100+ Sessions in the Learning Forum
CMPX’s signature education program returns bigger than ever, featuring 100+ technical training sessions, strategic presentations, and hands-on workshops. Designed for HVACR, plumbing, and water treatment professionals, each session delivers practical insights to help you stay competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.
Attendees can also earn Continuing Education Credits (CECs) while learning from leading experts — supporting compliance, strengthening credentials, and advancing careers.

Continuing Education Credits (CECs) at CMPX 2026
CMPX 2026 offers attendees the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Credits (CECs) through a wide range of educational sessions taking place March 25–27, 2026.
Eligible Sessions
All Learning Sessions and Workshops are eligible for CECs. Sessions must:
Focus on HVAC/R, plumbing, building codes, energy efficiency, or industry best practices.
Are delivered by recognized instructors or subject matter experts.
Are at least 30 minutes in duration.
Do not include sales or promotional content.
How Attendance Is Tracked
Attendance is recorded through the official CMPX badge scanning system:
Scan your badge when entering the session,
Some sessions may also require a scan-out,
Attendees must be present for at least 80% of the session.
If scanning is not available, a manual backup process will be used by staff.
IMPORTANT! Badges must be scanned by an attendant at each session to verify attendance; certificates will only be issued for verified sessions.
Earning Credits
You will earn 1 CEC = 1 hour of instructional time,
Or ½ CEC = 30 minutes of instructional time,
Credits are automatically calculated based on your recorded attendance,
There is no limit to the number of credits you may earn.
CEC Documentation
Certificates of Attendance for Continuing Education Credits are available upon request. To obtain a certificate, please email training@hrai.ca before April 15th.
Transcripts/Certificates will be sent by email.
The 2026 CMPX Show is also registered with North American Technician Excellence (NATE) for Continuing Education Credits.

New at CMPX 2026, the Mechanical Systems Showcase puts trades pros face-to-face with some of Canada’s most advanced commercial mechanical systems. Through exclusive guided site visits—including the Simcoe Street Cooling Plant, Fairmont Royal York’s deep carbon retrofit, Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada’s life support systems, and U of T’s massive urban geoexchange—attendees will see cutting-edge HVACR, plumbing, and water treatment systems in action.
It’s real-world learning, straight from the source, with practical insights you can take back to the jobsite. Space is limited to 25 per tour—pre-registration is required ($49 + HST).
